Also called “Cold Roll LGS Forming”.
Once the structural designed is completed, it is then downloaded into the computer of the state of the art cold roll steel forming machine (see pics). This very sophisticated piece of equipment operates in everyway like a 3D printer. Instead of paper, a steel coil is fed into it. Instead of ink, a series of nine to twelve tools bend, shape, punch and cut the steel exactly as dictated by the structural drawing ( see pic). It is done efficiently, quickly and most definitely accurately to less than one millimeter tolerance.
What would normally take weeks to frame a house with wood and months with concrete, is now reduced to mere days and still keeping and often improving the overall quality of the house.
